Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Platform to work with our Platform Product and Engineering organizations to help us build, scale, and secure the foundational capabilities of our core B2B SaaS platform, reporting directly to the CEO. Serving as the unified executive leader over both Product Management and Software Engineering disciplines for our platform ecosystem, you will ensure our underlying architecture, data infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies directly empower our applications team and accelerate long-term enterprise growth.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a deeply technical, visionary executive who bridges the gap between complex platform infrastructure, enterprise-grade scalability, and practical business value.  You see potential in the platform to scale massively to new scenarios, new roles, new geographies and new business models.  You understand that extensibility today cannot occur without deeply integrating AI technology both into the platform and the tooling that surrounds it so that those who work with the platform can execute at speeds never dreamed of before.  You have been re-tooling yourself over the last several years and have developed significant expertise in AI technology and are ready to challenge yourself to integrate AI technologies into a highly successful and loved security and compliance platform treasured by its customers and partners across the world.

You are a data-driven, hands-on leader who operates with a relentless focus on foundational software quality, developer experience (DX), data integrity, and strict operational metrics. In this role, you’ll eliminate traditional silos by directly managing both product and engineering tracks into a singular, high-velocity infrastructure and platform machine. You deeply care about making both our internal engineering teams and developer partners successful, championing platform design, modern frameworks, and robust developer tools to ensure Hyperproof scales smoothly. You understand how crucial it is to architect data pipelines that integrate into modern systems for crucial workflows from AI ingestion to dashboarding to analytics. 

You stretch beyond AI and extensibility into hands on software infrastructure, leading and operating a world class developer operations team that deliver mission critical developer tooling and build automation to the rest of the organization and our partners.  You architect these systems for speed of execution, quality and compliance with our FedRAMP Moderate obligations.

You will partner closely with Applications, Security, Data, Architecture, Operations, and Risk Governance teams to ensure Hyperproof's infrastructure is secure, governed, observable, reliable, and cost-effective as we scale to meet the demands of the modern enterprise market.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • You'll provide unified executive leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to a globally distributed organization of platform architects, product managers, and software engineers.
  • You'll define and lead the technical roadmap for Hyperproof’s enterprise platform and AI engineering capabilities, ensuring absolute synchronization with overarching corporate strategy, security standards, and governance expectations.
  • You'll take direct business and financial accountability for platform-led growth, designing infrastructure strategies that directly drive and support ARR, NRR, and GRR expansion across our enterprise customer base.
  • You'll drive the unification and standardization of core, enterprise-grade platform capabilities—specifically centralizing and scaling Authentication, Roles/Permissions, Tasks, Workflows, and comprehensive system Logging.
  • You'll architect and oversee the strategic multi-cloud convergence of our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) application, successfully deploying it into new cloud environments.
  • You'll champion developer experience (DX) and productivity by building reusable components, application engineering patterns, and technical playbooks that enable rapid adoption.
  • You'll evaluate cloud services, frameworks, data architectures, and AI platform tools with a rigorous focus on developer self-service, reuse, interoperability, cost optimization, and enterprise scalability.
  • You'll establish repeatable technical patterns and platform standards for moving core data pipelines and advanced AI/GenAI capabilities safely from experimentation to production-grade implementation.
  • You'll instill a culture of relentless quality control, implementing robust testing frameworks, automated verification, and performance SLAs to ensure enterprise-grade stability and zero critical regression escapes.
  • You'll design and roll out a unified 6-month product-engineering platform roadmap that introduces secure-by-design architectural patterns, model orchestration layers, and reusable accelerators.
  • You'll deliver a highly predictable, metric-driven platform delivery pipeline by the end of the year, characterized by top-tier platform stability, high team accountability, and optimized engineering throughput.

HOW YOU'LL KNOW YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL (Key KPIs)

  • Platform Scalability & Efficiency: Achieving clear improvements in infrastructure utilization, API performance, and data processing throughput while systematically lowering cost-per-tenant as enterprise usage scales.
  • Developer Experience & Internal Adoption: Maximizing internal developer velocity and minimizing onboarding friction by delivering highly reusable platform components, templates, and frameworks that drastically reduce rework for application teams.
  • Platform Predictability & Commitments: Reaching a 90% or higher predictability rate on quarterly platform roadmap commitments across both infrastructure engineering and product management milestones.
  • System Availability & Core SLAs: Meeting or exceeding a 99.9% uptime SLA and establishing robust disaster recovery, predictive monitoring, and business continuity metrics for core cloud services.
  • Platform Quality & Defect Leakage: Minimizing post-release infrastructure bugs and maintaining a zero-tolerance standard for critical regressions in production.
  • Own timely and quality delivery of platform features that manifest directly to end users, ensuring tight alignment and shared accountability of GRR, efficiency and other important business metrics.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience leading software product and/or engineering organizations within a fast-growing B2B SaaS company, with at least 5+ years in an executive-level leadership role (SVP, VP, or equivalent).
  • Unified Leadership Background: Proven track record of directly managing both Product Management and Software Engineering teams simultaneously, successfully synchronizing both disciplines into a single platform delivery organization.
  • Technical Foundation: 12+ years of progressive technology experience across software engineering, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms.
  • Developer Productivity Focus: Demonstrated track record of delivering production-grade enterprise platforms, reusable engineering frameworks, integration patterns, or developer productivity solutions that raise engineering standards.
  • AI & Platform Fluency: Strong technical depth in cloud-native platform design, APIs, microservices, and modern data architectures alongside foundational familiarity with emerging AI/GenAI engineering patterns (e.g., model orchestration, RAG, embeddings).
  • Scale & Operations: Extensive experience managing multi-tiered organizations consisting of VPs, Directors, and Managers across distributed geographic locations.
  • Metric-Driven Management: Deep expertise establishing and leading through thorough platform performance and engineering metrics (e.g., DORA metrics, system availability, cloud spend efficiency, quality assurance KPIs).
  • Authorization: Note: you must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Domain: Deep domain experience working in highly regulated environments (such as GRC, cybersecurity, or fintech) with strict privacy, risk, compliance, and operational readiness expectations.
  • Cloud Architecture Mastery: Extensive experience scaling complex enterprise architectures on public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and/or MS Azure.
  • Advanced Technology Execution: Demonstrated experience taking advanced AI/Agentic workflows, model context protocols, or complex multi-tenant data pipelines out of proof-of-concept stages and into secure, production-grade enterprise software.
  • Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.

Our platform stack utilizes robust back-end microservices, modern cloud infrastructure, and secure, cloud-native relational, non-relational, and vector database services optimized for high-throughput data pipelines, deep compliance mapping, and secure enterprise AI integration.

LOCATION

We are a fully remote company! Rather than restrict ourselves to only finding talent in one city, we'd rather find the absolute best people regardless of where they live.

  • Travel Expectations: Travel for executive off-sites, strategic alignment sessions, engineering hackathons, and annual company-wide events.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE

  • Initial Screening: Recruiter Consultation (30 mins)
  • Hiring Manager Interview: Strategic Alignment Sync with our CEO (45 mins)
  • Internal Stakeholder Interviews: Discussions regarding Architecture & Infrastructure Design, Metric Mastery, Platform Product Strategy, and Leadership sessions with key engineering, product, and executive stakeholders (approx. 3-4 hours total)
  • Executive Final Interview: Sync with members of the Executive Leadership Team (60 mins)

We expect this entire process to be completed in approximately 5-6 hours of interview time.
