Role

We are looking for a Data Security Specialist Account Executive to join our team. This is a Hybrid role based out of Bangalore / Delhi / Mumbai, reporting to the Regional Sales Director in the Data Protection Sales department. You will accelerate the growth of our Data Protection business across India as an overlay specialist, partnering with core Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and channel partners to identify, develop, and close Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and broader data security opportunities within enterprise and strategic accounts. As the regional subject-matter expert on data protection—spanning inline DLP, endpoint DLP, CASB, SaaS security posture, email DLP, GenAI security, and data security posture management (DSPM)—you will be the driving force behind pipeline creation, deal qualification, and competitive displacement in your territory.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Bring 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with at least 3 years selling data security solutions such as DLP, CASB, DSPM, data classification, insider risk, or adjacent technologies
• Own the data security specialist quota for India by executing a territory plan to grow DLP and data protection pipeline and bookings alongside core sales teams
• Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs, and data protection leaders on data security strategy, program maturity, and regional regulatory drivers such as the DPDP Act and RBI guidelines
• Lead discovery, business value assessments, and executive presentations for data protection opportunities, driving proof-of-value engagements in partnership with Sales Engineering
• Run internal enablement for core Account Executives and channel partners while representing the data security portfolio at industry events, workshops, and forums

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• Proven track record of quota overachievement in the enterprise market, operating in an overlay, specialist, or new-business hunting capacity
• Strong domain credibility with the ability to discuss data protection architectures, data flows, classification strategies, and compliance requirements with technical and executive audiences
• Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in enterprise sectors such as BFSI, IT/ITES, pharma, or manufacturing, and working with GSI and channel ecosystems
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks driving data protection investment in India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act
• Self-starter comfortable operating in a matrixed sales organization, influencing without authority and orchestrating virtual teams

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Prior experience at a data security or SASE/SSE vendor, or selling against legacy DLP incumbents
• Existing relationships with data protection and security leaders in enterprise accounts
• Industry certifications such as CISSP or CIPP, or demonstrable depth in privacy and compliance frameworks
