<p>Okta’s Brand and Creative team is looking for a Sr. Social Designer to own the visual voice of Okta across our social media presence, from LinkedIn to YouTube. This is our first dedicated creative hire for social, and you will set the creative standard for how Okta shows up in the feed. Embedded day to day with our Social team, you will design at the speed of culture, turning complex identity and security stories into content people stop for, engage with, and share.</p>
<p>Our audience is senior, technical, and skeptical, made up of the leaders and practitioners responsible for security and identity. Much of what we make is in service of "Okta Secures AI," our story about securing identity in the agentic era, which also spans the humans and machines behind it. Your job is to make that story impossible to scroll past, expressing it with simplicity and a point of view that earns attention. You think in native formats and recognizable creative wrappers, and you know how to stretch the brand while keeping it unmistakably Okta. You are equal parts designer and cultural antenna, with a strong point of view on why content works and the speed to move from idea to published asset.</p>
<p><strong>What you will do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead design for Okta's organic social channels, from concept to published asset, across static, carousel, and feed-first formats</li>
<li>Build and evolve recurring creative formats so business initiatives translate into channel-native content quickly</li>
<li>Translate the "Okta Secures AI" story into visually compelling ideas that earn attention, engagement, and shares</li>
<li>Bring cultural relevance into the work in a way that fits a trusted security brand</li>
<li>Design assets and formats for our social advocacy program, built so employees and partners can share Okta content through their own networks at scale</li>
<li>Partner with the video team to elevate the performance of our YouTube channel by designing high-impact thumbnails, playlist art, and supporting visual assets</li>
<li>Evolve the brand expression for social while protecting our distinctive brand assets</li>
<li>Test new formats and ideas, learn from how they perform, and turn what works into repeatable best practices that raise the bar over time</li>
<li>Present creative direction to stakeholders and mentor other designers who contribute to social</li>
<li>Stay ahead of platform changes and feed trends, and bring those opportunities back to the team</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What experience you have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A standout portfolio of social-first work that stopped the scroll, drove engagement, and stayed on brand</li>
<li>Senior-level experience designing for social channels, ideally in-house at a brand or in a social-native environment, with a track record of leading work independently</li>
<li>Expert command of feed-native design and platform best practices, including YouTube</li>
<li>A proven ability to design for engagement and sharing, and to make technical or abstract subject matter genuinely interesting</li>
<li>Strong cultural instinct and the judgment to know how far to take it</li>
<li>Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma</li>
<li>A test-and-learn mindset: comfortable experimenting, reading engagement data, and using what you learn to sharpen the work</li>
<li>Ability to work fast, iterate, and thrive in a high-trust environment where there is always a new post tomorrow</li>
<li>Motion and video design experience is a strong plus</li>
<li>B2B or technology experience is a plus</li>
</ul>

Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
