Account Executive II, Mid-Market

Reports to: Manager, Mid-Market Sales

Location: Remote but candidate must be located in IL, IN or WI

Compensation: $80,000 base salary with an on-target earnings at $160,000

What You'll Do:

You are a Senior Account Executive who knows how to earn trust, uncover a real business problem, and connect it to a solution that makes a measurable difference. You will own the full mid-market sales cycle at Huntress, from prospecting and discovery through pricing and close, while partnering with SDRs, Sales Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Account Management to create a smooth customer experience.

This is a quota-carrying role for someone with Warrior Spirit: resilient when deals get complicated, steady when priorities shift, and persistent without losing empathy. You are Outcome-Obsessed about revenue, forecast accuracy, and customer value. You educate rather than pressure, use feedback and competitive insight to sharpen your approach, and take pride in winning the right business for Huntress and our partners.

Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed sales goals and quarterly revenue targets by qualifying and closing net-new opportunities at mid-sized companies while being a collaborative member of the team.
• Creatively source new prospects and thoughtfully position Huntress offerings to suit their needs, serving as a trusted advisor and industry expert throughout the process.
• Stay current on competitor offerings and identify their strengths and vulnerabilities.
• Turn client feedback into actionable strategies to drive new business, address competitive risks, influence client decisions, and advocate for win-win solutions.
• Work closely with Sales Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Account Management to ensure seamless implementation and effective ongoing account growth.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate daily activity, forecast, and opportunity information in the CRM.
• Use AI tools with sound judgment to streamline account research, prospecting preparation, follow-up drafting, and routine CRM workflows while keeping customer context and data accurate.

What You Bring to the Team:

• You have 2+ years of demonstrated success in a strategic sales position and 2+ years of full-cycle sales experience at a software or technology company.
• You have a strong track record of driving revenue, creating new business, and delivering a customer-centered experience.
• You are comfortable maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasts.
• You work well independently, stay organized, prioritize changing demands, and remain highly responsive to clients.
• You bring strong presentation, active listening, and critical-thinking skills, along with the drive, initiative, energy, and sense of urgency to acquire and serve clients.
• You have a growth mindset, contribute actively in a team environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged, and bring knowledge of cybersecurity or cybersecurity sales as a helpful bonus. You are also able to travel up to 10% to events and customers as needed.
• You use AI thoughtfully to work faster and smarter on everyday sales tasks while applying sound judgment to customer information, messaging, and recommendations.
