Job Description

Strength in Trust

OneTrust’s mission is to enable innovation through the responsible use of data and AI. We believe that ensuring data is trusted shouldn’t slow teams down—it should accelerate what’s possible. This led us to develop the first technology platform for responsible data use in 2016. Today, with AI representing the latest and most impactful expansion of data yet, OneTrust is once again redefining what responsible innovation looks like. OneTrust, the AI‑Ready Governance Platform™, unifies regulatory intelligence, automation, and connected governance workflows so businesses can continue to move at the speed of AI while ensuring good governance to prevent data misuse at scale. Trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide, OneTrust is shaping the future where trusted data becomes a transformative force for business and society.

The Challenge

We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect (GRC) to join our Technical Advisory team (part of Customer Success). This is a customer-facing role for someone who combines strong GRC expertise with attention to details, and the ability to build trust with customers.

You will work with risk leaders, compliance teams, audit, control owners, procurement, and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges, assess maturity and platform adoption, and provide clear recommendations to unlock business outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor and product expert without owning hands-on implementation or configuration.

Your Mission

  • Lead outcome-focused discovery, advisory engagements, workshops, and expert sessions with customers.
  • Apply your GRC expertise to understand customer objectives, processes, pain points, constraints, and desired outcomes before recommending a path forward.
  • Guide customers across relevant capabilities such as IT risk management, compliance automation, enterprise policy management, audit and compliance management, third-party risk, and related GRC workflows.
  • Explain solution options, dependencies, trade-offs, and implications for scale at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Assess customer readiness, adoption barriers, process maturity, and solution direction; recommend pragmatic next steps.
  • Create clear, decision-ready deliverables such as current-state assessments, future-state recommendations, reference architectures, process guidance, and reusable patterns.
  • Build trusted relationships and communicate confidently with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, Sales, Support, Professional Services, and other specialist teams to deliver consistent customer outcomes.
  • Capture recurring customer needs and translate them into feedback, enablement content, playbooks, and product opportunities.
  • Maintain clear advisory boundaries: provide strategic framing, product expertise, and guidance while enabling customers or delivery partners to execute implementation.

What you bring

Required

  • Experience in governance, risk, compliance, technology risk, audit, security assurance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of how GRC programs operate within complex organizations, including policies, controls, risk assessments, compliance obligations, audit activities, remediation, ownership, and reporting.
  • A business-oriented mindset and the ability to connect GRC requirements to organizational priorities, operating efficiency, risk reduction, and decision-making.
  • A technical background or technical fluency in enterprise platforms (ideally SaaS), workflow design, data, reporting, or solution architecture.
  • 5+ years experience in consulting, technical advisory, solution consulting, customer success, business analysis, transformation, or another customer-facing problem-solving role.
  • A consultative approach: you listen carefully, ask effective questions, structure ambiguity, and turn complex GRC challenges into clear recommendations.
  • Strong learning agility and a constructive attitude, including curiosity, ownership, humility, resilience, and openness to feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt the message for executive, functional, and technical audiences.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and collaborating across functions without direct authority.
  • Independent but also a team player
  • BA/BS in a related subject is required

Preferred

  • Experience with OneTrust GRC platform or comparable.
  • Experience advising enterprise customers on GRC transformation, operating-model design, platform adoption, optimization, or value realization.
  • Relevant credentials such as GRCP, GRCA, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience advising enterprise customers on adoption, optimization, governance, or value realization.
  • Experience creating reusable advisory playbooks, maturity models, operating-model guidance, or enablement materials.
  • Experience in using software for reporting and task management such as Salesforce
