Job Description

GAQ427R228

While candidates in the listed location(s) are encouraged for this role, candidates in other locations will be considered.

Databricks Federal supports DOW, IC, federal civilian, and state and local customers.  We’re expanding our work across cleared and non-cleared programs and using automation and AI so our security operations scale with the business.

As Deputy FSO, you'll partner closely with the Industrial Security Lead on the administration of our security programs including personnel and contract security, security education, and government reporting. You'll also work with teammates across Corporate Operations to build the automated workflows and AI assisted processes that help a small team support a growing workforce.

The impact you will have:

Administer the Industrial Security and CJIS Programs

  • Program support: Help the Industrial Security Lead administer the program under 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), including routine contact with DCSA and customer government program security officers.
  • Clearance lifecycle: Manage collateral clearances and SCI accesses
  • Compliance and reporting: Manage mandatory reporting across our personnel security programs, and keep our SPP audit ready.
  • Contract security: Manage DD254s and subdd254 flowdowns, partnering with Legal, Field Engineering, and Sales.

Automate and Scale

  • Automation: Partner with the Industrial Security Lead and Corporate Operations teammates to identify repeatable work across clearance tracking, onboarding and offboarding, training compliance, and contract security, and build automated and AI assisted workflows to handle it.
  • Data and intake: Manage the security intake queue and its SLAs, and keep DISS, NISS, SWFT, and internal systems sync and audit ready.
  • Security Education: Develop on demand security awareness training and briefings.
  • Documentation and metrics: Write SOPs and playbooks, and report program metrics to Databricks Federal leadership.

Grow the Program

  • SCIF: Work with the Industrial Security Lead cross functionally to plan, accredit, and operate the future SCIF.
  • Civil, state, and local customers: Own our CJIS personnel security program under the FBI CJIS Security Policy and support customer security reviews.

How you’ll work:

We value how you learn and solve problems as much as what you’ve done

  • Collaborative: You share context openly and grow your scope alongside the team.
  • Empathetic and discreet: You handle sensitive matters with care and sound judgement.
  • Process minded: You simplify and automate outcomes, using AI and workflow tools.
  • Self directed: You take ownership and stay steady in ambiguity.

What we look for:

  • Clearance: An active U.S. government security clearance (Secret minimum, Top Secret preferred) and eligibility for SCI.
  • Industrial security foundation: 5+ years in industrial or personnel security at a cleared contractor, government security office, or in the military, with hands-on NISPOM, DCSA, and DD254 experience.  5+ years in industrial or personnel security at a cleared contractor, government security office, or in the military
  • System fluency: Working experience with DISS-JVS, NISS, SWFT, and NBIS eApp.

Nice to have:

  • SCIF or ICD 705 experience; NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, or DoD IL5 familiarity; ISP, PMP, CISSP, or CISM certification
